I'm the mentor you wish you had sooner.
My voice wasn't developed in the classroom and my story didn't take shape through some kind of manifestation practice.
My journey was built through a life-altering series of WTF moments and too many to count sob fests on the bathroom floor. It was through the adversity and a totally unexpected 2 X 4 moment that slapped me so hard upside the head I couldn't see straight. We'll call that the beginning. Life has a funny way of teaching us the lessons that no fancy MBA school or PHD program could ever do — and I'm no exception.
Faced with the choice: get up or quit, I accepted my reality and took tiny steps toward rebuilding my life.
On June 16, 2018, I woke up one way and went to bed another. From the morning of my 33rd birthday onward, nothing was ever the same. And while we can’t compare apples to apples in tragedy, we can align on one simple truth: tragedy in and of itself breeds triumph if you let it. And I'm here to help you realize yours. Life will break the script, lift the mirror up and demand “who are you and what are we doing here?” I’m here to help you answer those questions with more truth, self-respect and a promise to leave self-abandonment on the cutting room floor.
We all experience loss, life-altering moments, and plot twists that make your favorite suspense thriller look lazy. That is the human experience. I’m not here to sugarcoat it, hand you watered-down inspiration, or let you keep calling over-explaining, shape-shifting, and people pleasing “just who you are” anymore.
In case this is the first time you’re hearing it: you do not need to pacify, shrink, over-accommodate, or make yourself easier to swallow in order to be accepted, loved, seen, or chosen.
